I am the Executive Medical Officer for the American Red Cross focused on meeting the transfusion and health care needs of patients and communities affected by Sickle Cell Disease (SCD).  I joined this community to be a voice of support, provide medical expertise, to address medical racism and bias, and share specific ways to address health disparities and inequities involving the full range of the social determinants of health.
